Fish for the grand slam on the flats: tarpon/bone-fish/permit. Hunt for lobster and stone crabs, or spear snapper and grouper. Outside the reef, Hook Dolphin, Sailfish, Tuna, Wahoo and more. Or fish the backcountry to the Gulf. Dive the patch reefs right offshore, or take a boat to nearby Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary, the best coral reef in the Keys. The dock has mooring whips for securing a 20’ flats boat. Boat rentals are available at the end of the street. Long Beach is located adjacent to a wildlife refuge and there are many birds such as Great Herons, Egrets, Ibis and Brown Pelicans for your viewing pleasure. Key Deer frequent Long Beach and can be seen almost any day in the early morning and at dusk on the beach or as you bicycle on quiet Long Beach Drive. 3 kayaks, 2 bikes, charcoal grill included.
